It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Journal section of the Neurology Association of Odisha (NAO). Our vision is ambitious and straightforward: to be a trusted platform that showcases high-quality neurological research and meaningful clinical insights originating from Odisha, the eastern region, and beyond.

We invite submissions that advance patient care and scientific understanding across the breadth of neurology — stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, neurocritical care, neuroimmunology, neuroimaging, cognitive neurology, paediatric neurology, and allied disciplines. Original research, systematic reviews, narrative reviews, brief communications, illustrative case reports, Images/Notes in Neurology, and letters to the editor are all welcome.

The journal adheres to rigorous, timely, and fair peer review with a strong emphasis on methodological transparency and ethical publishing. We encourage the use of reporting guidelines, the prospective registration of clinical trials, and clear statements regarding ethics approval, consent, data availability, and author contributions. Plagiarism screening is standard practice.

As an academic community, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of clinician-scientists. Residents, fellows, and early-career faculty are especially encouraged to submit original research work. On behalf of the Editorial Board, I invite you to contribute your best work and help us build a journal that reflects NAO’s values — clinical excellence, integrity, and collaboration. Together, let us create a repository that is practical for clinicians, inspiring for trainees, and credible for researchers.
